This is just a first attempt at an animation made with SketchUp and Gimp.
It represents rotating the region enclosed by and around the y-axis. The steps represented are
- Presenting the region;
- Superimposing horizontal rectangles;
- Revolving a single rectangle to produce a washer;
- Revolving the remaining rectangles to produce a volume approximation with washers;
- Realizing the final volume as a limit.
